We do our best for consistency in product and packaging, but sometimes there are issues with supply chain. Our lids vary from lug (no plastic seal) to continuous thread (plastic seal). Both are tamper evident and safe to consume. While we do our best to thoroughly wash and sift through the lentils there may be organic matter left over like small stones and pebbles that get through.

Good, but definitely needs seasoning. High quality, good, ingredients.
Glad I didn't listen to some of the reviews. This soup is my absolute favorite! Usually when you get soups pre-made there aren't enough of the hearty elements, this one was full of lentils and so unbelievably delicious. Shared it with co-workers!
seriously delicious. I actually use the vegan "bone" broth to turn one of these soups into 4 servings because it is so full of lentils. Amazing
Too acidic :(
I have to say, I'm not usually one for writing reviews, but for people out there that thought they were getting a well balanced soup (for a discerning palate) , this is not it! In fact, I had to double check that the jar had not gone off. The vinegar is so overpowering that my stomach revolted. Somehow a cold kombucha drink or a cold vinegar shot is one thing, but once heated, the acidity level as well as the overpowering flavor is more than apparent- just ghastly. The lentils are firm and it looks so inviting, but buyer (and stomach) beware, it's just too strong to eat a full serving. I do understand that everyone's tolerances and taste palettes are different, but my family and I eat very cleanly with a nod to natto and the like, so we're used to unusual and strong flavors. I was so surprised by the favor of this soup that I wondered if a whole bottle of wine had been distilled and added as well. You need an iron stomach for this, so do take caution for anyone with gastric issues. This is a hard pass from me- it's really too bad as I waited a long time for the "re-do batch" from the company. It's not healing soup if no one wants to eat it. Sadly, I wasted over $100 for a case. Not a fan and will not be a return customer. Great idea, but poor execution. Just my two cents! Hope it works for others...
